QR code attendance tracking helps you keep a clear record of who actually showed up, not just who registered. It works for classes, conferences, offices, visitor logs, workshops, clubs, labs, and any event where people need a quick check-in.

How QR code attendance tracking works

  1. Collect attendee details with Google Forms, Google Sheets, or the Trak registration screen.
  2. Generate one unique QR code for each person.
  3. Send the code by email, WhatsApp, Google Wallet, Apple Wallet, or print it when needed.
  4. Scan each code at the door, in class, or at the activity point.
  5. Export attendance reports showing who checked in and who did not.

Every scan is saved in Trak, so you can review attendance later instead of relying on paper sign-in sheets or manual counts.

Common uses

  • Class and lab attendance for teachers.
  • Conference, meetup, fair, or workshop check-in.
  • Visitor, contractor, or staff sign-in at an office or facility.
  • Session-by-session attendance for multi-day events.
  • Check-in and check-out records for tools, inspections, or activities.

Pick the right add-on

Use the Google Forms add-on when people register by submitting a form. Use the Google Sheets add-on when you already have a list of attendees in a spreadsheet. Both can create QR code tickets, send them to attendees, and scan them for attendance reports.
