AI Response Feedback for Forms™ helps form owners review Google Forms™ responses with AI and send clear feedback by email.

The add-on reviews each response, decides what needs attention, and sends feedback to the people you choose.

What it does

  • Checks each new form response against instructions you write in plain language.
  • Sends feedback to a central email address, the person who filled the form, or both.
  • Can include a button that lets the responder edit their response when a fix is needed.
  • Lets you retry failed checks and process older responses.
  • Lets you export response status, including whether each response passed review and how many tries it took.

Start setup

  1. Open the Google Form™ you want to review.
  2. Open Extensions, then choose AI Response Feedback for Forms™.
  3. Select Start.
  4. Follow the setup steps in the sidebar.

Write review instructions

Tell the add-on what a good response should include. For example: “Check that the request is clear, includes a deadline, and gives enough detail for our team to act.”

If you already connected AI, you can ask the add-on to suggest clearer instructions based on your form.

Choose who receives feedback

  • Central inbox: send every feedback email to one address, such as a team inbox.
  • Responder email: send feedback to the person who submitted the form.
  • Both: keep your team informed while also guiding the responder.

Responder emails can come from the email address collected by Google Forms™ or from an email question in your form.

Allow responders to edit answers

If you want feedback emails to include an edit button, the form must allow response editing. In Google Forms™, open Settings, then turn on the option that lets people edit after submitting.

Test before turning it on

  • Use Send test email to confirm the email path.
  • Use Test latest response after your form has at least one response.
  • Turn on automatic processing only after the test looks right.

Review and export responses

Use the response browser to see which responses were checked, which need attention, and which failed. You can export all rows or export only valid rows since your last export.
